Following Berlin, we continued our tour.  Our next destination was Cochem.  This town is part of the Moselle Valley, a sleepier version of the famous Rhine Valley.  Cochem is romantic and charming with so much character.

Our hotel had a room facing the river and the view from our balcony was just stunning.  The town is known for their riesling wine and, believe me, we had plenty of it!

This was also the first time I tried Germany’s famous pork knuckle.  The cooking of the pork varies, depending on the region you are in.  I tried several types and I loved them all!
